Although rumors surfaced Wednesday that Miley Cyrus and fiance Liam Hemsworth were quitsies, Miley seems to want to let us know something. Not super clear what that something is, but something.
Miley, whose new single drops June 3, hasn’t issued a statement confirming or denying the breakup, but she did tweet a pic of herself in white tulle, looking bridal and beatific.
So what does this mean? Is the wedding still on? Is it canceled, so she’s trying to repurpose her bridal gown? Maybe she just used the wrong Instagram filter and the dress is actually purple? I need answers! Or do I? Is there a reason I still care about a Disney star from the aughts and a lesser Hemsworth? So many questions, you guys.
On Wednesday it looked like maybe, possibly, hopefully, things were definitely off, since the word “definitely” was being used by Us Weekly. “They are definitely over,” one insider told Us of the two, who have been engaged since June 2012. In March, the New York Post had reported they were over. Despite cheating rumors involving Hemsworth and actress January Jones, the reason behind the split was Cyrus’ party-girl ways.
“Miley and Liam are done; it’s over,” one source said. “She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him.” On March 6, Miley tweeted, “I am so lick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn’t call of my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining.”
